Flowklor was born from an awakening of Chamir Bonano: it is possible to experience Bomba through a modern lens without losing its ancestral cultural ties. Through his music, Chamir pays homage to his Afro-Caribbean roots while simultaneously reflecting the Black experience today through clothing, makeup, and lyrics. More than just a clothing brand, Flowklor is a philosophy that invites us to merge the wisdom of the past with the experience of the present.
For the brand, we created three typefaces, each reflecting an aspect of african heritage. With them, it is possible to communicate the artist's messaging across the merchadizing. It inmediately creates a consistent visual texture, tying together every piece of merch, while also providing the freedom for designers to express themselves with their unique take on the brand.
