Behind every thriving crop is a dedicated agricultural community. But who supports the historically underserved farmer? Asekia's mission to empower and advance farmers, forest landowners, and rural agricultural communities by removing barriers, fostering inclusivity, and increasing representation across Puerto Rico and the United States.

We proposed the name Asekia as a tribute to the acequias of New Mexico, which symbolize the flow of water and the strength of community and shared responsibility. Just as acequias sustain agricultural lands through collective management of vital resources, Asekia Inc. fosters collaboration and supports empowering Hispanic farmers and landowners.

The visual identity is inspired by hand-drawn permaculture layouts that reflect not only knowledge but also a sense of planning for the future, serving as a tool to organize farming sustainably. While layouts created with professional software exist, drawing inspiration from manual sketches better represents practical design suited for disadvantaged farmers, aligning with the focus on accessible and effective solutions.
