Traditionally, architecture firms rely on their founders for their names. But in the case of Almateria, a multidisciplinary design studio focused on building tangible experiences for both people and brands alike, a splash of creativity was required to give life to a name that suits the versatility and diversity of the brand and to convey the broader range of services they provide. In the end, it was the studio’s minimalist architectural style that permits matter to shine in its truest nature, — whether its exposed concrete, wood, metal or glass — that the name Almateria was born. “Alma” the Spanish word for soul, and “materia” meaning matter, together form a unique name that encompasses the company's ethos revolving around the concept of experiencing the essence of spaces and materials.
